When do you stop feeling for others? It happens in that moment you choose to first numb yourself to your own feelings. Your own pain. Your own suffering.
To have empathy for others, you need to take three simple steps
Step 01: Feel your own emotions. Your suffering. Your pain. Your hurt. The ones that make you want to numb your feelings so you don’t have to feel them. Feel these with each breath that you slowly draw in to your heart. A visualization and guided technique in this meditation gently eases you into this.
Step 02: Release and transform that suffering. Into joy. Happiness. Tenderness. Love. Compassion. Through each breath that you slowly breathe out.
Step 03: Once you feel yourself relaxing into your new equilibrium, shift your focus to your loved ones. Or someone towards whom you carry some hurt. Or a larger group of similar people. Repeat step one and two, this time breathing in their suffering and hurt and transforming it into love and happiness with each breath out.
Wow! This is powerful stuff. No prior expertise required. So whether you are a beginner. Or after years of practice still a beginner like me. Just tap this button while saying to yourself:
“I wish to let go of my hurt and suffering. And then of others”

Why Am i Conducting This?
I have been practicing Tonglen in various forms and iterations since quite some time. Mostly alone and in various situations. Wish to go deeper into its practice. A group energy creates that strength-in-numbers. It supports and nurtures all of us. Especially beginners.
Also because in this acute moment of crisis, our world needs Tonglen
